My Little Friends...
To the left, you can see Jacob (In front) and Luke and Logan in my arms. They are Ti-Ti's Kids, and they are an amazing bunch. The twins are so full of energy, its a shame we can't run our car on it.
Jacob is an amazing lil' kid. Hes very thoughtfull and very nice. Hes not as full of energy as the kids, but he's still a great guy to get to know and I wish him the best. (I left him my old-school poke-mon cards from when I was a kid, and My Chinese and Japanese cards from across seas. I hope he liked them, he seemed pretty thrilled)
great friend and influence for jessica. I hope they go onto
to become really close, I cant think of
anyone I would rather see by jessies side.
Will is also a cool guy. He seems very independant at times, but he is always amazingly behaved, polite, and another great friend to Jessie. Over-all Im very glad I came to Virginia this summer, it was a great expieriance and I cant wait to come back, whenever that may be.

Got bored... Took Pictures
Today was one of the first days this summer that I actually got bored. So I took some pictures. They arnt much, and Im going to come back and fix them later. I forgot about how blurry pictures get without flash... But some of these came out neat even with the flash off and the blurriness. My dads camera also doesnt have a very good micro setting :/ thats ok tho.
Im going to make a more interesting background for pictures 1 and 4, and fix the blurriness in pictures 2 and 3 without getting rid of the Macro Effect, but im currently going to Registration at NAU so it will have to wait till im in VA.

Eat Meat... Save...Pandas...?
Here is my evil panda... Its currently made from black and red electrical tape and markers... i get the feeling that its a little... ghetto... Im going to do it again on a 4'X8' sheet of plywood (its currently on 2'X4') and use a dark red paint to type "Eat Meat!" "Save Pandas!...?". Hopefully it turns out good.
My mom asked me to paint my little sister something for her room. I told her i wanted to do a bloody panda and she said fine, but maybe the one i do for my sister can just be the panda with no blood... i dont think she had THIS panda in mind (0.o)
My little sister wont sleep in her own bed out of the fear that a tiger will come eat her (a lagit fear in china) but im guessing the panda would only add to that problem. Now the whole wild animal kingdom of China will be after her.

Feelings on leaving town
Everyone is all looking forward to college and im excited, but sometimes i feel like its going to be hard being so far away from Cris and Victoria... With my new found free time ive been doing alot of art and guitar and music. Ive also spent alot of time with old friends. I went to some art gallerys last week with my friend April, I went to Victorias grad party with cris, and tomarrow cris and I are going to shoot at eachother with paintballs.
This is a piece i just finished about a boy and his balloon. Its on a sheet of 2'X4' plywood, and in the pictures the sky comes out brown, but its actually blue.
Im going to do a 4'X8' painting of a panda while im in VA. I want to find the cutest, fatest panda i can find. And draw it on the piece. Then when im all done im going to add blood all over its chin and tummy. I know pandas dont really eat meat, but i think that just makes it all the more awesome.

Self Portraits
I tried my best to use photographs that other people wouldn’t do. In my meaningful photograph I used my sister because she means the world to me, and I didn’t think anyone else would use a sibling, I thought they would all use b/fs, g/fs, or material things. In my other pictures I also tried to not really show my face too much because I figured that would just look like a typical portrait. Overall im happy with how creative I was and hope that it helps me bring my grade up because I actually did work pretty hard.
I worked really hard to keep my rule of thirds working in my art, I also messed with my contrast and I tried my best to make the pieces interesting. I am happy with my composition, especially in the photograph with me on the back of the bleachers, peering out over the gate.
I think that the craftsman ship was OK, but the camera was changed to a very low quality, and I think my pictures suffered because of that. I went back to retake the pictures but they came out at a very low quality a second time. I meant to go back AGAIN and retake them (and still might) but haven’t had the time, I’ve been busy helping my partner with his work and I haven’t been able to go out and retake the pictures.
I loved this project, I like my ideas, and I like how the pictures came out. If I could redo the whole project I would change the camera quality, but other than that I’m very happy with my photos!

Personal Metaphor
In our personal metaphor project I eventually decided that I would use the metaphor “Like a tree with your impressions carved into my skin”. I chose this metaphor because I personally have a fear of groups of people. I don’t like to be out when I know people are looking at me, it just freaks me out. I wanted to do a piece that portrayed how nervous I was about other people yet how I was trapped and there was nothing I could do about it. Thursday, March 6, 2008
Movie Moments
take a snap shot picture, like a single frame from a movie. I worked with tyler on this and our movie was titled "School Of The Dead". Our Genre was horro and our movie takes place when there is a zombie outbreak in Cesar Chavez High School and all the students are stuck in there classrooms and the only ones that can help it the kids that ditched there classes.Friday, February 8, 2008
Flyers

*After-Note: My Si Se Puede flyer didn't win, however my Graduation program won the contest and was used with minor changes during our graduation ceremony. I didn't walk, which makes the whole scenario funny and ironic to me. But it was still an honor to have my flyer used.

Aged Photo
Balance With Frames
My first picture wasn't entirely balanced, I really like the composition though and the contrast came out really well, and I think that the loss of balance is made up for.
In my second picture, I did achive balance, but I dont like the picture as much as my First. I really dont even have anything to say about it, I guess it was just an off day for me.
Random Object
The whole class was given a random object that they had to photograph, we could have it in color or black and white as long as we focused on "The Three C's".I ended up getting a Mirror, and I had absolutely no clue what I could do with it other then take a photo of my face in the mirror, but I felt that was cliche, So I just set the mirror on a ton of difference services and objects to see what came out interesting... It fit perfectly on the toilet, and for some reason I just thought it was funny and cool looking, so I used this photo.
Everyone said that they liked the Idea, but looking back at it I think it was a pretty dumb idea, so I kind of disagree with them.
Other people said to take a picture from another angle, just to see how it turned out, I don't know if the idea is strong enough for me to really go back and spend time making it better however, so ill leave it as it is and move on.

Egg Challenge
In this project we were all given an egg to photograph. we had to take a photo in both black and white and exemplify creativity, craftsmanship, or composition.
I believe that my black and white picture turned out very good. I decided to use my dog in the photos because he is black and white and i thought it would go well with the white of the egg and make good contrast.
I was hoping to get him to balance the egg on his nose, but he wouldn't cooperate and i just let him play with the egg for a while (all the while praying he didn't break it on my carpet). All of a sudden he reached out to paw at the picture and i just took the shot, i wasn't even sure i had caught the shot for about 3 seconds and i was extremely happy when I found the shot had come out perfectly.
As for my colored picture, I don't feel that it came out well at all. I was sick the day we got the assignment and i thought we only had to take one picture, so when it came time to turn it in i had to use a B-grade picture for my color, since the only real good picture i got was the one i turned into black and white.
